appening in the future, I have been offered an Associate Attorney position at a law firm in Portland, Oregon. The law firm, Smith Freed, & Eberhard (http://www.smithfreed.com/) works in the area of insurance defense. I will be focusing most of my labor (indeed, most of my life) working on defending personal injury claims. I'm really excited for this job, it will allow me to hone my litigation skills and may even afford an opportunity to get into court performing arbitrations and maybe even actual trial. The office is on the top floor (43rd) of the second highest skyscraper in Portland and has amazing views of Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, all the rivers and bridges, and an unobstructed views of downtown Portland. It's literally breathtaking thinking about it. As many of you know, I was born in Vancouver, Washington, just across the river from Portland. I am so excited to be going back there, it's beautiful and so green. I'm so excited I can't hardly believe everything is now happening so quickly. I am anxious to get there and to begin my new career and to begin our new life in Portland (although we will probably be living in Vancouver--at least for a little while).
OH HAPPY DAYS!
